Did you ever wonder what God’s plan for your life was? How God wanted you to serve others for his Glory?  How do you find that?

God's plans

I grew up in a family that believed there was a God, but even though there were multiple opportunities at church, our time there was limited.  When I became an adult and raising my children, I taught them about Jesus and took them to Church. I was always willing to volunteer as a greeter, cleaning the church, helping with children’s church and holiday events. I knew I truly believed in God and trusted him, but somewhere inside of me I knew God had something bigger.  He wanted more than just a good volunteer in church. For years I would pray the God would show me what that was.

“I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.”

Psalms 40:1

As the word teaches us, it is in His timing, not ours. God knows how to steer us for growth, to prepare us for the moment he prompts us to stop and listen. It took many years for me to be ready. Fortunately, God can take the unqualified and loves to use them.

Four years ago, through a painting of two tiger cubs, God showed me what he had planted in my heart, that I had been praying about for many years. He introduced me to one of the most amazing ministries.

I thank God every day for the privilege he has given me to work with Visions of Hope to minister to the Adults in Custody and to be able to go to Uganda and Otino Waa to work with the children and house moms.

Have you asked God to show you how to bring His glory to the world?  Are ready to be prompted?  Do your prayers ask for sensitivity, timing and circumstances?  Does your time in God’s word allow just listening?  Are you positioned to never give up? We all have a place, a purpose and a mission in God’s plan.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”

Romans 8:28

If you are interested in knowing God’s plan for your life, then you must learn to walk with God. You need to develop a relationship with Him. Christianity is all about relationship – not just religion. You must determine to know Him – not just know about Him.
